The Abbey of San Michele (X cent.), on the top of Mount Pirchiriano, dominates the Lago Grande, the biggest of the two Avigliana Lakes. Recently, this lake has become swimmable, even if sometimes, for example after thunderstorms or windy days, some restrictions are still possible. On its shores, you can admire the Sanctuary of the Lakes, discover nature walking through the reeds of the Paludi dei Mareschi, or across the park, and reach the old village of Grignetto.
