Santuario della Madonna dei Laghi di Avigliana

The Sanctuary of the Lakes, built between the 1622 and the 1642, is on the Lago Grande, framed by gardens. It is a well known pilgrim place and on its walls some interesting paintings by Defendente Ferrari, an Italian artist (XVI), can be seen.
The locals sometimes also call it the Capuccini, because before the Church passed it to the Salesiani’s Order in 1892, it was under the Capuccini Order.
When its bells ring, you can hear them from anywhere in the area of the Lago Grande.
